Hi, I'm Tera, founder of Hair Forward.

Like many people navigating hair loss and alternative hair, I didn't start this journey knowing where to begin. After struggling with thinning hair myself, I spent countless hours researching, visiting local wig shops, ordering pieces online, booking consultations with experts, joining wig groups, and learning through trial and error. Some experiences were incredibly helpful, while others left me feeling more overwhelmed than informed.

Hours and hours

Over several years, I've immersed myself in learning everything I could about wigs, toppers, cap construction, fit, sizing, styling, and the realities of wearing alternative hair. I mean...uncountable hours. Along the way, I also learned something important: finding the right piece is only part of the journey. Learning how to make it work for you — and feeling like yourself again — often takes time, patience, and support. It's often not just one magical moment where you put your first wig or topper on your head and feel like yourself. It's usually a process. At least it was for me!

Hair Forward was created to help make that process feel less overwhelming. My goal is to help people avoid costly mistakes, understand their options, and move forward with more confidence, practical knowledge, and support than I had when I was first starting out.

Your information, photos, and personal experiences will be treated with care and confidentiality. Hair Forward will never share client information, photos, or stories without explicit permission.

My goal is to help create a space where wigs and alternative hair can feel normalized and supported while always respecting each person's comfort level and privacy.

Why Hair Forward?

Hair Forward is deeply personal to me. Hair loss and alternative hair have touched the lives of several people I love, and over the years I've seen firsthand how emotional, overwhelming, and isolating the journey can feel. When I began navigating my own experience with thinning hair, I found myself wishing for the kind of practical guidance and support that seemed so difficult to find.

Hair Forward exists to provide compassionate, practical guidance for people navigating hair loss and alternative hair. My goal is to help simplify what can often feel like an overwhelming process, reduce costly mistakes, and create a supportive space where people can move forward with greater confidence.
